Carly {6 months}

Sweet Carly girl, you are 6 months old.  You are the sweetest, happiest, smiliest baby I've ever known!  Your scrunchy smile just melts me.  You are growing up so fast lately.  You are sitting up, rocking on all fours and just starting scooting on your belly yesterday.  You cut your first tooth a couple days after you turned 6 months, which is the earliest of the three of you.  Luckily you weren't too cranky.  The other tooth should be in soon. You still don't sleep that great at night, you are up once or twice to eat and then sometimes another time or two.  I really hope you figure this out soon:)  You seem to be dropping your morning nap, which seems far, far to early, but it means you take a nice long afternoon nap.  And since you are happy, it works out fine.  You are still a finnicky eater.  I stopped nursing and pumping last week.  It was just too hard to get you to nurse and pumping just wasn't effective enough I guess.  But we made it to 6 months.  We started some solids last week and I'm trying to give you some chunks of food to gnaw on, and so far you love it.  You've had broccoli, avocado, banana, peas, green beans, a little bread and some cereal (on a spoon:) .  I don't know how much you actually swallow, but you are getting the hang of it.

Spouse Flight 2012

I had a chance to take a flight in Nate's plane and it was awesome!  Nate didn't get to take me, but it was still a great experience.  Nate has a pretty cool job. I love this picture in front of his plane, it has his name on it, but it's hard to see.  I also love that Nate is wearing Carly:)

                                Diving through the clouds, it was awesome! It was a really overcast day and we almost didn't get to go.  It was clear and beautiful above the clouds and we had great views of Pike's Peak.  Then we found a hole in the clouds and dove back down.

Carly is growing up so fast!  In about a weeks time she went from being pretty stationary, to sitting, scooting and rocking on all fours!

            He did this on his own, backward hat and lovie tucked in his pants.  Love him.

Carly {5 months}

Little Sweet Pea is 5 months! Carly is so happy and smiley, almost all the time. She smiles at everyone. Wakes up smiling and goes to bed smiling. She is getting so strong. She tries to sit up in her swing now, and in this chair while I was taking her pictutes. She rolled from back to tummy this morning for the first time. I have a feeling she will be on the move in a month or so.

I love all her different faces in these pictures. She is such a character. She reminds me so much of Alyssa at this age, minus the fussiness. But their facial expressions are so similiar.

Carly is a champ at napping. She takes an hour nap in the morning, a 2-2.5 hr nap in the afternoon and a 30-45 min nap in the evening. She goes to bed great at 8pm, and then she is not a great sleeper after that :( She wakes up at least twice and last night was wide awake and smiling at 4:30am, ugh. She did go back to sleep, but cried a bit at 5:30 and was up at 7am. Maybe she is sleeping too much during the day? I don't think she would be very happy during the day with less sleep, but a little crankiness might be worth a little more sleep at night. Oh well, this too shall pass.
