The Dominican Republic

Oh man, its hard looking at all these pictures 3 months later!  The DR was so fun and relaxing.  It was a great 10 year anniversary trip (a little early).

Lovely accomadations, although this picture isn't the greatest.  We had a jacuzzi tub that our butler (yes we had a butler:) had ready for us at the end of the day. Wonderful.

Beautiful beach.  White sand and turquoise waters.

Our horseback riding adventure.  It was fun, but we were so sore for days after!

Our guide was getting a little nervous at how far my horse was going :)

                                                                       Coconuts!

The food was pretty good, nothing amazing.  But the drinks were great!

Nate is very proud of this picture.  He had to perfect the beach in the sunglasses shot.

                                                               Some local shopping.

Our little spot. We sat here everyday.  It was at the very edge of the resort and we had this cool palm tree.  We sat here for a few hours everyday and read, and had some drinks.

We got this on the first try.  The other attempts weren't so good.  But we got one!

This was the spa.  We went everyday after the beach.  We went through this procees of cold showers, sauna, therapy jets, a 50 degree cold plunge pool (Nate loved this, I thought it was awful! It hurt!) walking on stones and finally the hot tub.  It was so relaxing.  I wish I could do it right now.

The last night they had a Michael Jackson show and it was really good! The Michael Jackson impersonator had all his mannerisms and moves down really well.

It was a great trip.  We feel very blessed that we had the opportunity to go.  The next few years mean more deployments, more of Nate being gone.  It's nice to have a chance to get away and spend some quality time together.  Until next time DR!
