We miss you already

Nate left for his deployment today :( So today is a hard day, but I wanted to post some pics of the fun stuff we've done the last week or so. Nate and Alyssa went on their first Daddy- daughter date. They went to Chuck-E-Cheese and they both had a blast. Nate and I had several date nights thanks to family and friends and that was great. Tuesday night we went to a resort called The Great Wolf Lodge, it's an indoor waterpark. It was so much fun! Alyssa loved it and we played 3+ hours both days. So we are thnkful to have those memories to have for the next four months. Pray Nate gets to Kuwait safely and that he returns safely in July!

Touched

My heart has been touched and deeply saddened by a sweet family who lost their 11 month old daughter this week. My heart is broken for these people that I don't even know. I cannot imagine their grief and their pain. I have been following their blog since baby Cora was diagnosed with cancer just three weeks ago, and was amazed at their faith and courage. It is so hard to understand why God would take this sweet baby girl, but already I can see just from their blog, how many people this has touched. It has made me not only more thankful for Alyssa and my family but it has made me examine the character of God. It has made me question, I do believe God is good just in my head or in my heart as well? "God is good, and everything he does is good" Psalm 119:68 . I know God is good, sovereign and loving and that he has a plan for Cora and her family. Please pray for this dear family as they deal with the unimaginable loss of their only child.

New Bike

Alyssa finally got her long awaited Christmas gift. She really likes it and she is getting the hang of pedaling, kinda. We really like this trike though cause it has a handle so we can push her. At this point it's great because she can't really ride it by herself and we don't have to bend down to push her all the time. So if you are looking for a first bike I would recommend it.

I'm Back!

I'm finally posting again after a month and a half! Sorry if these posts are in a weird order. Does anyone know how to post more than 5 pics per post? That would be helpful to know :) We had a great month in CO, it was great to be with family for the holidays. We hadn't been home for the holidays in three years so it was great. We were able to spend a lot of time visiting, we met our niece/cousin Cassidy for the first time and Nate and I even got a overnight getaway in Denver. It is great to be home though and back into the swing of things. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!
